🌿A Beautiful Story Regarding "Sahifah e Sajjadiyah"
🔹Annemarie Schimmel (who passed away in 2003) was a researcher in Islamic Sciences, an orientalist, scholar of Mawlawi (Rumi) poetry, and was originally from Germany.
She says:
"I translated parts of the glorious 'Sahifah e Sajjadiyah' into German.
When I was busy in these works, my mother was admitted at a hospital, where whenever I would visit her she would mostly be asleep. Therefore, I'd sit in one corner of the room and busy myself with writing down translations.
My mother's room had two beds.
The other bed lay a woman who was an orthodox Catholic. When she realized I was translating Islamic supplications, she became curious and thus stated:
'but, do you have a scarcity (of interest and understanding) of Christianity and this holy sect of yours that you've instead are translating Islamic supplications!?'
This incident passed.. until the translation was published.. I also sent a copy of this published piece to the Catholic woman.
One month later, this orthodox Christian lady called me back and said:
'Mrs. Schimmel! My dearest of thanks for this beautiful and significant gift. From the day I received 'Sahifah e Sajjadiyah', I have been reading supplications not from our holy sect, but rather from this very book!'.

✔️Interesting Fact: on the stone of this notable scholar Annemarie Schimmel's grave is written the famous tradition of Imam Ali (peace be with him) which states:
💠النَّاسُ نِیَامٌ، فَإِذَا مَاتُوا انْتَبَهُوا.
