But they refused and said but we shall make peace with you that you will not fight against us or frighten us; nor will you turn us away from our religion, on the condition of paying tax that we shall pay to you every year two thousand robes - one thousand in Safar and one thousand in Rajab and thirty coats of mail, (of) common (quality), made of iron.'
So the Prophet made agreement with them on these conditions. And he said, 'By Him in Whose hand is my soul! Surely destruction had almost descended on the people of Najran.
Whom did the Prophet take with him
It is mentioned in the Sahih Muslim on the authority of Sa’d b. Abi Waqqas that when the verse:
“Let us call our sons and your sons….” (3:61)
was revealed, Allah’s Messenger called ‘Ali, Fatimah, Hasan and Husayn and said: "O Allah, these are my Ahl al-Bayt" . (Sahih Muslim, Vol.2, Page 287 {Vol.4 pg. 1285 English version} [Book 31 no.5915]).
The purpose of Mubahala was to show to the Christians the matters in which they had been led away from the truth in their religion. In addition, the act of the Prophet in bringing Fatimah, Imam ‘Ali, Hasan and Husayn, demonstrated to history that in matters of belief in the Oneness of God (tawhid), Prophethood and the Qur’an, one should turn towards them for guidance.
The Prophet’s action was an order of Allah “call our sons and your sons and our women and your women and ourselves and yourselves” (3:61). This was an evident declaration that in the matter of Prophethood and the Qur’an, Muslims have need of the authority of the Ahl-ul Bayt to clarify the meaning of the Qur’an for those who did not comprehend.
On the day of Mubahala it became manifest that in the absence of the Prophet, in matters of religion, the people should turn towards none other than the Ahl al-Bayt.
Zamakhshari, the author of Tafsir al-Kashshaf, says of this verse (3:61):
“..this verse contains a proof – unsurpassed in strength – of the excellence of the people of the mantle (ashab al-kisa’) peace be upon them. And there is in it a clear proof of the truth of the Prophethood of the Prophet, because nobody – either a supporter or an antagonist – has ever narrated that they (the Christians) answered that call (for imprecation)”.
Why was Imam ‘Ali included?
The Almighty commanded His Messenger to say to the delegation of Najran: "
Come! Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women; and ourselves and yourselves....".
In compliance with this command, the Prophet brought with him, Hasan and Husayn, because they were the sons of his daughter Fatimah, and for this they are his sons. He brought Fatimah with him because she represents the women from the members of his House. But why did he bring with him Imam ‘Ali who was neither from the sons nor from the women?
Imam ‘Ali has no place in the verse unless he is included in the word "ourselves."
Bringing Imam ‘Ali with him indicates that the Messenger of God considered Imam ‘Ali an extension of his personality. By considering him so, he elevated him above all the Muslims.
The Messenger said on many occasions: "’Ali is from me and I am from him."
Hubshi ibn Janadah reported that he heard the Messenger of God, saying:
"Ali is from me and I am from him, and no one represents me but ‘Ali." (Sunan Ibn Majah).

We always have to live the great spiritual history and forget about the history of the tyrants and those who filled life with miseries and belittled mankind by enslaving it. These have gone with history.
As far as our responsibilities are concerned, we are not responsible for history, and should not lock ourselves in it: "This is a people that have passed away; they shall have what they earned and you shall have what you earn, and you shall not be called upon to answer for what they did." (02:134).
They created their history; we are responsible for creating ours.
However, our main problem lies in the backwardness we experience.
We see that this person locks himself in this history, while another resorts to another history, at a time when our reality challenges us and those creating the history of arrogance mock and ridicule,
while we are digging our own graves by our own hands, even though above the ground, because we refused to reach out to the gardens that nurture our spirits and lives.

💠"Eid Al Fitr is not the end of the month of Ramadhan. Eid is the the rebirth of the human being from the dust of his (habitual) lifestyle, similar to the birth of the human from his mothers womb.
💠 Ramadhan is an oven in which the essential existence is baked to perfection and a new human is brought about. Eid Fitr is not an event or incident of joy for the passing of Ramadhan, rather it marks the rebirth of a new day and a new life for humans.
💠 It is expected that Ramadhan, with all it's dawns and breaking of fasts (iftaar) and the significant nights of Qadr and supplications, is destined to make a human out of us.
💠 If we truly feel that we have renewed ourselves spiritually, then be sure that this Eid is not just a means of (only) recognition and understanding, but rather it is based upon the condition that we solely be with God sincerely while in service to (learning and loving) the progeny of Prophet Muhammad (peace be with him and his progeny).
💠 Oh God we are grateful that we were your guests for a month. And you gave us leeway to such privelage from the dawns of love in which we had chances to speak to you and share our heart with you, and now you have blessed us with the first of Shawwal, an Eid of love (to us miserly beings) to which you have blessed us with".

O people! You are more numerous than (it is practical) to shake hands with me all at the same time, and Allah, the Exalted and the Sublime, commanded me to require you to confirm what authority I have vested upon 'Ali Ameerul-Mo'mineen and to whoever succeeds him of the Imams from me and from him, since I have just informed you that my offspring are from his loins.
You, therefore, should say in one voice: "We hear, and we obey; we accept and we are bound by what you have conveyed to us from our Lord and yours with regard to our Imam' Ali (V' Ameerul-Mo'mineen, and to the Imams, your sons from his loins. We swear the oath of allegiance to you in this regard with our hearts, with our souls, with our tongues, with our hands. According to it shall we live, and according to it shall we die, and according to it shall we be resurrected. We shall not alter anything or substitute anything with another, nor shall we doubt nor deny nor suspect, nor shall we violate our covenant nor abrogate the pledge. You admonished us on behalf of Allah with regard to' Ali (V' Ameerul-Mo'mineen, and to the Imams whom you mentioned to be from your offspring from among his descendants after him: al-Hasan and al-Husain and to whoever is appointed (as such) by Allah after them. The covenant and the pledge are taken from us, from our hearts, from our souls, from our tongues, from our conscience, from our hands. Whoever does so by his handshake, it shall be so, or otherwise testified to it by his tongue, and we do not seek any substitute for it, nor shall Allah see our souls deviating there from. We shall convey the same on your behalf to anyone near and far of our offspring and families, and we implore Allah to testify to it, and surely Allah suffices as the Witness and you, too, shall testify for us."
O people! What are you going to say?! Allah knows every sound and the innermost of every soul; "Whoever chooses the right guidance, it is for his own soul that he is rightly guided, and whoever strays, it is only to its detriment that he goes astray" (Qur'an, 17:15).

Allah shall annihilate anyone guilty of treachery and be merciful upon everyone who remains true to his word: "Whoever reneges (from his oath), he reneges only to the harm of his own soul, and whoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will grant him a mighty reward" (Qur'an, 48:10)
O people! Repeat what I have just told you to, and greet' Ali with the title of authority of "Ameerul-Mo'mineen" and say: "We hear, and we obey, O Lord! Acting the Ashoura Events
Date: 01/12/2011 A.D - H
An interview with Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Husain Fadhlollah
Translated by: Manal Samhat
http://english.bayynat.org.lb/Ashoura/Ashoura_Events.htm#.W5nqK9EpCf0
Q: You have recently called for acting and performing the Husseini tragedy of the Imam’s martyrdom on both theatre and television. Do not you think that you will face many objections from different jurists, since this could be unfamiliar to people and to jurists as well?
A: I do not think that well-educated and open-minded jurists who are fully aware of modern technology and its impact on the modern man would reject that from a jurisprudential point of view, if the means conform to the Islamic criteria. Indeed, we are all fully aware that the modern man is capable of using such technologies to deliver his messages. Similarly, Islam would make use of them so as to be widely spread and universally understood.
I know that some jurists and even ordinary people usually fear what is new and are wary of undertaking new steps, thinking that this newness would undermine what they are used to. However, we believe that swimming against the current is risky and needs patience; so, we advise those who are creative by their nature and are always looking for the best to endure the difficulties that will be facing them.
We all agree that customs are neither the end of the world nor they possess any sense of holiness. Thus, Allah, the Most Exalted, orders us in His Holy Book to liberate ourselves from the constraints of blind traditions and conventions. Allah wants us to observe, contemplate and think about such customs, in a way that makes us accept what conforms to our Islamic concepts and reject what does not, for Allah says: "We have found our fathers following a certain religion; we are merely walking in their footsteps. Each (apostle) said: What if I bring you a better guidance than that which you found your fathers following? But they replied: We deny the message you have brought." (43:23-24). Thus, we do not sanctify what is familiar. We believe that we ought to accompany the developments of life in a way that conforms to the Islamic general guidelines, which we do not believe that developing the ways of showing the tragedy of Ashoura violates.
Q: The act of changing the way we celebrate Ashoura to fit the mentality of this century is so important. But do not you think that this step will be followed by many others and lead to influential changes to several other Islamic concepts and issues in the coming generations?
A: Islamic concepts and thoughts are constant in their original and real content, but, here, we are talking about changing the means of expression and not the content. However, it has certain dynamism in Ijtihad, as a result of addressing new issues. Therefore, we do not usually fear the changes we have made or we are still making just because we are afraid that it will surpass the Islamic lines. We believe that the open minded and watchful jurists who understand the content of the Islamic conception and the mentality of our generations constitute a guarantee against any deviation.

The fashions coming out of the Western sewer are designed to make you believe that your most valuable asset is your sexuality. But your beautiful dresses and veils are actually sexier than any Western fashion, because they cloak you in mystery and show self-respect and confidence.
A woman's sexuality should be guarded from unworthy eyes, since it should be your gift to the man who loves and respects you enough to marry you. And since your men are still manly warriors, they deserve no less than your best.
Our men don't even want purity anymore. They don't recognize the pearl of great value, opting for the flashy rhinestone instead. Only to leave her too! Your most valuable assets are your inner beauty, your innocence, and everything that makes you who you are.
But I notice that some Muslim women push the limit and try to be as Western as possible, even while wearing a veil
(with some of their hair showing). Why imitate women who already regret, or will soon regret, their lost virtue? There is no compensation for that loss.
You are flawless diamonds. Don't let them trick you into becoming rhinestones. Because everything you see in the fashion magazines and on Western television is a lie. It is Satan's trap. It is fool's gold.
A Woman's Heart
I'll let you in on a little secret, just in case you're curious: pre-marital sex is not even that great. We gave our bodies to the men we were in love with, believing that that was the way to make them love us and want to marry us, just as we had seen on television growing up. But without the security of marriage and the sure knowledge that he will always stay with us, it's not even enjoyable! That's the irony.
It was just a waste. It leaves you in tears. Speaking as one woman to another, I believe that you understand that already. Because only a woman can truly understand what's in another woman's heart. We really are all alike. Our race, religion or nationalities do not matter. A woman's heart is the same everywhere.
We love. That's what we do best. We nurture our families and give comfort and strength to the men we love. But we American women have been fooled into believing that we are happiest having careers, our own homes in which to live alone, and freedom to give our love away to whomever we choose.
That is not freedom. And that is not love. Only in the safe haven of marriage can a woman's body and heart be safe to love. Don't settle for anything less. It's not worth it. You won't even like it and you'll like yourself even less afterwards. Then he'll leave you.

Eid e Fitr is not the ending of the month of Ramadhan. Eid is the rebirth of the human being from the dust of his (habitual) lifestyle, similar to the birth of the human from his mother’s womb.
Ramadhan is an oven in which the essential existence is baked to perfection and a new human is brought about. Eid Fitr is not only an event and occasion of joy for the passing of Ramadhan, rather it marks the rebirth of a new day and new life for humans.
It is assumed that Ramadhan, with all it's dawns and breakings of fast (iftaar) and the significant nights of Qadr and supplications, is to make a human out of us.
If we truly feel that we have renewed ourselves spiritually, then be sure that this Eid is not just a means of (only) recognition and understanding, but rather with the condition that we solely and sincerely be with God while in service to (learning and loving) the progeny of Prophet Muhammad (peace be with him and his progeny).
Oh God! we are grateful that we were your guests for a month. And you gave us leeway to such privilege from the dawns of love in which we had chances to speak to you and share our heart with you, and now you have blessed us with the first of Shawwal, an Eid of love (to us miserly beings) to which you have blessed us with.

Whispers of Āyatollāh Allameh Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Ja’farī:
🌕O my God, O my Lord at those moments when we are moving toward destruction (of our eternal life), make us alert and aware of (our mistakes and) that we’re heading astray.
🌕give us a chance to not create few excuses to continue in that path of error and destruction. But instead help us to face the truth.
🔹[in that we can perceive the ugliness of sins, and understand the lure of worldly desires, and we can feel the unstableness of the world, (and allow us to realize the) very short period of our life and this entire world.
🔹Where we can put aside our carelessness of continuously doing many small sins, which we think are small and nothing, but when they increase would destroy us like a silkworm who will die into his self made cocoon.
🔹In such enlightenment (of perception and insight) we see your manifestations all around this world. Then we realize that we are blessed by your blessings, support, and sustenances, so we should not betray you
🔹That means we use your blessings and sustenance, but we act in a way in which our deeds lead us to devalue your religion and your values; and our actions lead others to flee from your values, and furthermore, lead them to dislike you and dislike your religion, your prophet and Ahlulbayt (and religious values]

(Part One - B)

💠“Television, radio, and all the sources of amusement and information that surround us in our daily lives are also artificial props. They can give us the impression that our minds are active, because we are required to react to stimuli from the outside. But the power of those external stimuli to keep us going is limited.
💠They are like drugs. We grow used to them, and we continuously need more and more of them. Eventually, they have little or no effect.
💠Then, if we lack resources within ourselves, we cease to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually. And we we cease to grow, we begin to die.”

But we suddenly wake up and feel active when we finish praying?
Why do we stay the night every day for a football match, watching a movie, or sitting with a friend?
We do not watch the Quran
Or prayer ??
Why do we get up early for work!
And do we wake up for Fajr prayer ??
Why are we afraid to watch people!
And we are not afraid to watch God ??
Why do we spend so much money for fun and excursions even though it is fleeting ??
And we give alms to the poor, even though they remain ??
Why is it so difficult for us to speak about God Almighty ??
And it is easy for us to talk about the rest of the things ?????
Why do we say we love God while we disobey Him. . ??
And we say we hate Satan
We are obedient to him and our heads are deceived by his soldiers ??
why do we feel bored when reading an article . . . religious??
We are curious when reading an article about anything else ?????
Why wiping e-mails . . . That talk about religious matters . . !!!
And we re-send regular messages ?????
Why do we love listening songs with our cars. . . . . . . ??
We hate hearing the Quran in it. . !!
Why do we see that mosques have become deserted...?
And that cafes, rest houses and cabarets have become populated ?????
Why do we not love those who advise us and want Paradise for us, and stay away from it ??
And we love those who lead us to perdition and come close to it and if we lose it, we are looking for it ???
Why do we mention people's flaws?
And forget about our faults!
Why do we cry from the song "repulsion, desertion and sorrow"?
We do not cry for fear of God ??
Why do we get angry if our inviolations are violated even by a word. . ??
We do not get angry from Anthakna for the sanctity of God??
think about it.....
Will you try to change you . ??
Or will it be shining, standing as a parrot?
Just keep one thing in mind
God is watching you
And you will die alone
You will ask on your own
You will be sent alone
And you will enter Heaven or Hell alone
Engage yourself
As long as you took care in the past to fulfill your desires
Sure, if yourself speak, she said
Please do not throw me in the fire
May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his pure family ...
