Abode of Wisdom

This book has a lot of useful information about the Iranian ancient art that can not be found elsewhere. The problem with this book is that it is very selective about the whereabouts of the Iranian antiquities. It only mentions the Iranian antiquities that are being kept in the Iranian museums and does not mention the whereabouts of the pieces that are not being kept in the Iranian museums.

Given to One of His Officers Whom He Sent for the Collection of Zakat and Charities.

🔰✍🏼 He (Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be with them) ordered him to fear Allah in his secret matters and hidden actions, where there is no witness except the One and only Who watches over all.

🔰✍🏼 He also orders him that whatever he does in obedience to Allah openly should not be different from what he does secretly.

🔰✍🏼 Anyone whose hidden attitude is not different from his open one and whose action is not different from his words has discharged his obligation and his adoration is pure.

🔰✍🏼 He also ordered him that he should not harass the public. He should not be harsh to them and should not turn away from them because of the superiority of his official status over them because they are all brethren in faith and assist in the recovery of taxes:

🔰✍🏼 Certainly, you have a fixed share and a known right in this levy, and there are others who are poor, weak and starving. We shall discharge your rights. So, you should [first] discharge their rights. If you do not do so, you will have the largest number of enemies on the Day of Judgement.

🔰✍🏼 How wretched is the man whose enemies in the view of Allah are the needy, the destitute, the beggars, the turned away, the indebted and the (penniless) travellers?! Whoever treats the trust lightly, indulges in treachery and does not keep himself and his faith untarnished by it has certainly secured humiliation in this world while his humiliation and disgrace in the next world will be much greater.

🔰✍🏼 Surely, the greatest treachery is the treachery against the believers community, and the most ugly deceit is deceiving the faithful leaders, and that is the end of the matter.

Spiritual Wayfaring Topic 6:

💠 Repentance from all sins; as is appropriate for that sin

🍃 Despite the fact that many effects and blessings have been mentioned for repentance, at the same time there are conditions for repentance. The more one fulfils the conditions of repentance, the more results he will achieve and the better these results will be.

🍃 It has been narrated from master of believers Imām Ali (peace be with him) that a person did istighfār in his presence (sought forgiveness from Allah). The Imam said to him:

💠"May your mother grieve over you! Do you realize istighfār (is not just this empty utterance of the tongue) is the station of the Illīyīn (a name in the Qor'an for those in Paradise, see 83:18) and comprises of six meanings:

🍁 regret over what has occurred

🍁 resolve to not return to that action ever again

🍁 that you fulfil the rights of others from amongst the creation, such that you meet Allah free of any responsibility

🍁 that you carry out all the obligatory actions that you squandered

🍁 that you melt away with remorse the flesh that grew on your body from harām until the skin sticks to the bone and new flesh then grows between them

🍁 that you make your body taste the difficulty of obedience just as you had made it taste the sweetness of sin,
then after all that say astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness from Allah)!"

🍃 The intention of the Imām is that isteghfār is a reality comprising of all its conditions.

🍃 Of course, the six conditions that were mentioned pertain to the particular sin within the context of which the Imām instructed istighfār.

🍃 Clearly, isteghfār for every sin does not require all these conditions. If someone has committed a sin of the eye, can it be claimed that in order to seek repentance for this sin he must melt his flesh? Obviously this is not so.

🍃 So that man does not become afflicted with excessiveness nor laxity in this area, *it is necessary to seek the counsel of, and seek a plan of action from those who are experts in this field, and aware of all the aspects of these affairs*.

💠 Ayatollah Dastaghaib Shirazi:

🌳"Do not imagine that your soul is in your head or in your heart. It is not like this. It is neither within the body nor out of it. The encirclement of soul is indeed amazing. Put your hand at any part of your body, the soul is there. It is both positive and negative. It is not in the body. It also is not
out of it.

🌳This is one of the finest (most delicate) things. Have you not experienced that sometimes if a thread or a strand of hair enters your mouth along with food it is at once detected and you push it out. Such signs pertaining to your body are there to make you realize that God encircles
and covers each and every thing and affair.

🌻“Allah is He Who created seven heavens, and of the earth the like of them; the decree continues to descend among them, that you may know that Allah has power over all things and that Allah indeed encompasses all things in (His) knowledge.” (65:12)

🌳The specimen or example is your own soul. O Man! If a snake bites at your foot, your soul knows of it at once. If a thin hair enters the body… If you ponder over the power of remembrance or learning by heart, it is unfathomable. How many things are stored in your brain!"

💠 Much wisdom, lessons and depth lie like concealed treasures in the narration of Ahlul Bayt (as). What is the way to open oneself up to this great grace?

💠 We have spoken more than once that our problem with Ahlul Bayt is that we have contained them in the prison of tragedy only! And that when we opened out the horizons, we did that in the area of miracles and miraculous favours. As for their thinking, their approach to life, their authentic prophetic line in life their comprehensive Qur’anic approach and all that they have said and moved dynamically in, which can provide answers to the questions, queries and problems from which our generation is suffering and future generations will be suffering, there is no work done that brings it out and explains it satisfactorily. We have cut them off from the dynamic movement of life and entered them in the movement of tears, therefore we have made a wide opportunity quite narrow!

You have attended, in this season, more than one gathering to mark the anniversary of Fatimah’s death. What have you heard about Fatimah al-Zahra (as)? I am here speaking in general terms, for amongst the orators there are those who bear the responsibility of enlightenment in the ways of Ahlul Bayt (as). However, most have concentrated on the tragedy and grievance. We emphasize the grievance, but this has been the grievance in the way of the Message, and not a weeping grievance. Ours is a grievance which encompasses vigor, strength, enlightenment, criticism, and confrontation.

سوال: احاديث اور روايات اھلبيت علیہم السلام ميں حکمت، حيات انساني کے ليے درس اور عميق مطالب کا ايک خزانہ پوشيدہ ہے؟ اس عظیم ذخيرہ سے استفادہ حاصل کرنے کا کیا طریقہ ہے؟

جواب: ہم اس پر بارہا گفتگو کر چکے ہيں کہ اہلبيت کي نسبت ہمارا مسئلہ يہ ہے کہ ہم نے انہيں فقط مصائب و آلام کے قيدخانہ ميں مقيد کر ديا ہے! اور جب ہم نے ان کا ذکر کيا بھي تو ان کو محض چند معجزات اور ان کي جانب سے ظاہر ہونے والے معجزاتي فوائد تک محدود رکھا ہے۔ جہاں تک ان کي فکر، نظريہ زندگي، مستند پيغمبراںہ طرز حيات، قرآن کے متعلق جامع نقطہٴ نظر، اور وہ سب جو انہوں نے فرمايا اور عمل کر کے دکھايا، اور جو ہميں اور ہماري آنے والي نسلوں کو درپيش سوالات و مسائل کا راہ حل فراہم کرسکتا ہے، ان تمام پہلووٴں کو آشکار کرنے اور تسلي بخش وضاحت کرنے کے ليے کوئي کوشش اور کام نہيں ہوا ہے۔ ہم نے اہلبيت کو ايک متحرک نظام زندگي سے قطع کرکے غم اور آنسووٴں کي ايک تحريک ميں داخل کرديا ہے، لہذا ہم نے ايک بہت وسيع اور بہترين موقع کو نہايت کوتاہ کر ديا ہے۔

آپ نے حضرت فاطمہ زھرا کي شہادت کي مناسبت سے ان ايام عزا ميں يقيناً ايک سے زيادہ مجالس ميں شرکت کي ہے۔ آپ لوگوں نے ان مجالس ميں حضرت زھرا کے متعلق کيا سنا ہے؟ ميں يہاں ايک عمومي بات کررہا ہوں، کيونکہ ذاکرين اور خطباٴ لوگوں کے سامنے اھلبيت کي راہ کو روشن انداز ميں پيش کرنے کي ذمہ داري رکھتے ہيں۔ جبکہ ان ميں سے بہت سوں نے اپني توجہ اور گفتگو کا محور فقط اھلبيت کے مصائب اور مشکلات کو قرار ديا ہے۔ ہم نے صرف مصائب پر توجہ مرکوز رکھي جبکہ يہ تبليغِ رسالت کي راہ ميں پيش آنے والے مصائب ہيں نا کہ بے مقصد گريہ و رازي والے مصائب۔ يہ مصائب ايسے ہيں جس میں جوش و ولولہ، قوت، روشن خیالی، تنقید اور طاغوت کے مقابل محاذ آرائی شامل ہے۔
