Safwān Jammal Kufi was a very pious companion of Imām Ja’far Sadiq (peace be with him) and Imām Mūsa Kāzim (peace be with him). He used to earn his livelihood by hiring out camels. He owned a large number of camels.
He says that one day Imām Kazim (peace be with him) said to him, "Safwan every action of yours is meritorious except one."
"May I be sacrificed for you, what action is that?"
Imām said, "You hire your camels to Harun-ar Rashīd.”
He said, "I dont give my camels for gathering wealth, hunting or games or any luxuries, rather he takes them for Makkah (when he goes for Hajj) and I do not serve him myself, I order my servants to accompany them on the journey."
Imām asked, "Do you expect rent after their return?"
I said: "Yes after their return".
He replied, "Don’t you carry the hope that they return safe and sound from their journey so that you receive your payment?"
"Yes."
Imām (peace be with him) said, "One who wishes for them to remain alive is like them and one who is connected with them will go to Hell.”
Safwan says,”I came back and then I sold away all my camels. When Harun heard of this he summoned me and asked the reason for it, saying I heard you sold out your camels, why? I replied, “I have become old and weak and I am unable to take care of the camels, even my servants are not capable of maintaining it properly."
Harun said, "Never, never It is not so! I know who has persuaded you to do this. You have done this on the direction of Musa son of Ja’far.”
What do I have to do with Musa son of Jafar?" said Safwan.
But Harun was not satisfied and said to leave these words, for had it not been for their good relations he would have killed me.

Imam Sādiq (peace be with him) says: "One who likes the oppressors to continue (to live) likes the disobedience to Allah (to continue) on this earth." (Wasail ul-Shia)
While explaining the Quranic verse, "... and do not incline to those who are unjust, lest the fire may touch you." (Surah Hūd 11:113)
Imām says, "If a person comes to a ruler and wishes for him to live only for as long as it would take for him to put his hand inside his money bag and give some amount."
Wishing for the life of an oppressor even for a moment is the same as being inclined towards him.
ورواية صفوان بن مهران الجمّال المعروفة قال : دخلت على أبي الحسن الأوّل عليه السّلام فقال لي : يا صفوان كلّ شيء منك حسن جميل ما خلا شيئا واحدا ، قلت : جعلت فداك أيّ شيء ؟ قال : إكراؤك جمالك من هذا الرجل ؛ يعني هارون ، قلت : واللّه ما أكريته أشرا ولا بطرا ولا للصيد ولا للّهو ، ولكنّي أكريته لهذا الطريق - يعني طريق مكّة - ولا أتولّاه بنفسي ، ولكنّي أبعث معه غلماني . فقال لي : يا صفوان أيقع كراؤك عليهم ؟ قلت : نعم جعلت فداك ، قال : فقال لي : أتحبّ بقاءهم حتّى يخرج كراؤك ؟ قلت : نعم ، قال : من أحبّ بقاءهم فهو منهم ، ومن كان منهم كان ورد النار . قال صفوان : فذهبت فبعت جمالي عن آخرها ، فبلغ ذلك إلى هارون ، فدعاني فقال لي : يا صفوان بلغني أنّك بعت جمالك ؟ قلت : نعم ، قال : ولم ؟ قلت : أنا شيخ كبير وأنّ الغلمان لا يفون بالأعمال ، فقال : هيهات هيهات ، إنّي لأعلم من أشار عليك بهذا ، أشار عليك بهذا موسى بن جعفر عليه السّلام ، قلت : ما لي ولموسى بن جعفر ؟ فقال : دع هذا عنك ، فو اللّه لولا حسن صحبتك لقتلتك
