🔸Allāmeh Tabātabāī‘s Practical Instructions to a Youth who Inquired about attaining the true Love of God..

🍃Youth...
🔹"Can you guide me so that I become a true lover of God, the Prophet, and the friends of God? What is the path and what are the remedies? If you reveal to me the secret of love and show me the Beloved... holding my hands and guiding me through the mountain of love and by showing me signs of the Beloved, I shall wander swooned with no rest. However, what should I do, as I am ignorant and (still) not a (true) lover?"

🍃Allāmeh Tabātabāī:
🔸I put forth the following: the manner (of lifestyle) that is required in all states and conditions in the least required way is the manner (of lifestyle in which) we are servants of God. In other words, it is the manner of having knowledge about God (recognizing His grandeur Excellency).

🔹And the path to this is all that we have in the Qur'an (and ahadith) and the lifestyle values of the Prophet and Imams, and it is practical assignments (Wājeb Deeds). Meaning, it is being in the state of (Murāqabah) "alertness" and diligence (of the factors that push you away from God) and in the state of watchfulness of your self (by which you critique your actions to see to what extent it was sincere or not sincere for God). These are the points I mentioned to you in the earlier letter.

🔸For now, follow the protocol of gathering effort to make a strong will that you will not forget God every morning when you wake up. Then continue by imagine yourself before God (an eternal and infinite reality that transcends everything) and at night before bed, asses the deeds you did in the day. If you became negligent of God when performing deeds, seek repentance and self-reproach; and if this didn't happen (that you were negligent) then praise God.

🔹Meanwhile, for strengthening your piety (by alertness and remembrance), recite "Lā Ilāha Il-lallāh" 1,000 times every day, for 40 days.

🔸The state (enlightenment) of servitude, which is attained by these procedures, is the pattern and scale for all the states of life.
🔹And peace be with you.

🔶 دستورالعمل علامه طباطبائی به جوان جویای راز عشق

🔹 (آیا می‏توانید راهنمایی کنید تا عاشق خدا شوم، عاشق پیامبر شوم، عاشق اولیای خدا شوم. راه چیست و چاره کدام؟ اگر راز عشق، مرا آموزید و معشوق را به نیکی برایم بشناسانی... دستم گرفته به کوی عشق رهبری نمایید و با اشاره معشوق را بنمایی دوان دوان می‏روم حتی لحظه‏ای آرام نمی‏گیرم. اما چه کنم جاهلم و عاشق نیستم).

🔶 عرض کنم: روشی که برای ما در همه حال و همه شرایط در حد ضرورت است روش بندگی و به عبارت دیگر روش خداشناسی است.

🔹 و راه آن طبق آنچه از کتاب و سنت ‏برمی‏آید همانا یاد خدا و امتثال تکالیف عملی است. یعنی همان مراقبه و محاسبه است که در نامه اولی خدمتتان عرض شد.

🔶 فعلاً به این ترتیب که هر صبح که از خواب بیدار می‏شوید تصمیم بگیرید که خدا را فراموش نخواهید کرد. آنگاه به طور استمرار خود را در برابر خدا تصور کنید و شب وقت‏ خواب به حساب کارهای روز بپردازید. اگر غفلتی شده استغفار و توبیخ نفس، و اگر نشده حمدی به خدا بکنید.

🔹 و ضمناً برای تقویت ذکر تا چهل روز، روزی هزار مرتبه طرف صبح با توجه تام کلمه طیبه لا اله‏ الا الله بگویید.

🔶 حال بندگی که از این روش به دست می‏آید الگو و مقیاس همه حالات زندگی است.

Remembrance of God is not (simply) a deed or action, it's a state of consciousness

To live a religious life means to have full awareness of God. Including Him into the intricate affairs of our lives by remembering Him at all times will create variables that will shift our material oriented lives to transcend into a Godly life.

Likewise, 'taqwa' is to be conscious, wary, and aware of the overexposed presence of God, internally within and externally around us. And because of this wariness, one is guided to perform the obligations and refrain from the prohibitions. 'Taqwa' is Not to fear God, for God is compassionate to all. Rather it is to have fear of losing the immaculate love of God (towards us all) and His munificent favors upon us.

Someone asked Imam Ali (please be with him), “Have you seen your Lord that you worship Him?”

Imam Ali answered, “Woe be on you! I do not worship the Lord Whom I have not seen.”

The questioner asked, “How have you seen Him?”

Imam Ali replied, “Human eye cannot see Allah, rather his heart can perceive Allah through authentic/real/true belief.”

أبي، عن سعد، عن ابن عيسى، عن البزنطي، عن أبي الحسن الموصلي، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام
قال: جاء حبر إلى أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام فقال: يا أمير المؤمنين هل رأيت ربك حين عبدته؟
فقال: ويلك ما كنت أعبد ربا لم أره،
قال: وكيف رأيته؟
قال: ويلك لا تدركه العيون في مشاهدة الابصار، ولكن رأته القلوب بحقائق الايمان

In the above tradition, Imam Ali percieves the world through the color of God. His invincible awareness has lead him to experience being in the presence of God at all times. What he gathers from the world through the senses are manifestations of God. And his high degree of remaining conscious of God has allowed him to 'see' the Majestic Color that enlightens all of existence.

It is good to note that when one's awareness in God exceeds, it would also serve as a means of salvation from the misery of ego, animalistic self, and fog of misunderstanding of reality. Aside from that, a new way of life would emerge and his dependency on people would drastically decrease.

Imam Ali states: "If the doors of the skies and lands would be blocked on someone, but he became conscious of God, God will open a path of salvation on him".
(Nahjul Balaghah, sermon 130).

اگر درهای آسمان ها و زمین ها بر بنده ای بسته شود، آن کاه او تقوا را پیشگیرد، خداوند راه نجاتی برایش میگشاید

To sum it up, there is an interesting saying by Mulla Hadi Sabzawari that may highlight the overlooked presence of God in existence.

الكلّ عبارة و انت المعناى، يا من هو للقلوب مغناطيس

"The universe is expression and Thou are it's meaning,
O Thou! Who art the magnet of the hearts!" ("Kernal of the Kernal", pg. 9).

💎Imām Redha (peace be with him):
🔹“O son of Abu Mahmoud! When people divert left and right (after different ideologies and sources of values) you should cling inseparably to our way, for surely whoever accompanies us we will accompany them, and whoever separates from us we will separate from them. The smallest thing that can cause one to leave faith is to claim that a small stone is a date seed, then to believe in it (the false statement), and then to distance oneself from one’s opponents (stubbornly stick to falsehood). O son of Abu Mahmoud! Preserve and comprehend carefully what I just told you because for sure I imparted to you information that will benefit you in this world and the next.”

Note:
People of the world often rush behind false prophets, flawed personalities, vulnerable ideals, and polluted value sources; while the believer grasps onto the rope of guidance and salvation through action upon the values and teachings of Qur’ān and Ahlulbayt.

On the other hand, people who abide by the teachings of the infallibles do so uncompromisingly. They tread in their footsteps and walk their path, even if it costs them their wealth, comfort, and convenience.

Probably what Imām is trying to say is that one who claims that a “piece of stone” is a “date seed” is to illustrate the danger of intentionally presenting falsehood.

Those who oppose this person will be considered his well wishers, and distancing from them will lead this person away from the faith.

💎 عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الْمَالِکِیِّ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ أَبِی مَحْمُودٍ عَنِ الرِّضَا علیه السلام فِی خَبَرٍ طَوِیلٍ قَالَ:
🔹یَا ابْنَ أَبِی مَحْمُودٍ إِذَا أَخَذَ النَّاسُ یَمِیناً وَ شِمَالًا فَالْزَمْ طَرِیقَتَنَا فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ لَزِمَنَا لَزِمْنَاهُ وَ مَنْ فَارَقَنَا فَارَقْنَاهُ إِنَّ أَدْنَی مَا یُخْرِجُ الرَّجُلَ مِنَ الْإِیمَانِ أَنْ یَقُولَ لِلْحَصَاةِ هَذِهِ نَوَاةٌ ثُمَّ یَدِینَ بِذَلِکَ وَ یَبْرَأَ مِمَّنْ خَالَفَهُ یَا ابْنَ أَبِی مَحْمُودٍ احْفَظْ مَا حَدَّثْتُکَ بِهِ فَقَدْ جَمَعْتُ لَکَ فِیهِ خَیْرَ الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ.

💎 امام رضا علیه السلام فرمودند:
🔹ای ابن ابی محمود! وقتی مردم به چپ و راست می‌روند، تو ملازم طریقه ما باش، زیرا هر کس با ما همراه شود، ما با او همراه خواهیم بود، و هر کس از ما جدا شد، ما نیز از او جدا خواهیم شد. کم ترین چیزی که باعث می‌شود انسان از ایمان بیرون رود این است که در مورد سنگ ریزه بگوید این هسته است، و سپس بدان معتقد شده و از مخالفین خود تبری جوید. ای ابن ابی محمود! آنچه را برایت گفتم حفظ کن و نگه دار، زیرا خیر دنیا و آخرت را برایت در این گفتار گردآوری کردم.

💎امام رضا (سلامُ اللہ علیہ) فرماتے ہیں:
🔹اے ابن ابی محمود، جب دنیا والے دائیں اور بائیں طرف جا رہے ہوں تو تم صرف ہمارے ہی طریقہ پر رہنا۔ جو صرف ہمارے ساتھ ہوگا تو ہم بھی اُسکے ساتھ ہوں گے اور جس کا طریقہ ہم سے جدا ہوگا ہم بھی اُس سے الگ ہوں گے۔ کمترین چیز جو انسان کو ایمان سے دور کر دیتی ہے وہ یہ ہے کہ انسان ایک پتتھر کے ٹکڑے کو کہے کہ یہ کھجور کا بیج ہے اور اسی بات کے پیچھے پڑ جائے اور اپنے مخالفوں سے دور ہوتا چلا جائے۔ اے ابن ابی محمود جو بات تم کو بتائی ہے اسے سنجھ کر اور بہت سمبھال کر رکھنا۔ میں نے تمہاری دنیا اور آخرت کی بھلائی کے لیے پوری بات تم کو بتا دی ہے۔

🌼🌿🌼Sincere Deeds🌼🌿🌼
💠God asked Prophet Moses one day: "Till now, have you done any sincere deeds?
💠Moses replied: "I prayed, fasted, and recited litanies"
💠God said: "Praying grants you the permission to pass the 'sirat'; fasting extinguishes the flames of hell; and litanies are a means to excell into higher ranks of paradise; all these are for your (salvation and success)!"
💠So Moses said to God: "Oh God! Prescribe for me deed(s) that are only sincere for You".
💠Thus, the reply came:
✅"Did you aid the oppressed?
✅Did you clothe those who didn't have clothing?
✅Did you quench the thirst of the thirsty?
✅Did you maintain respect for the scholar?
🌿These are all (examples of) sincere deeds".

💠خداوند به حضرت موسی علیه‌السلام فرمود: تا کنون چه عمل خالصی انجام داده‌ای؟
💠حضرت موسی پاسخ داد:
«نماز خواندم، روزه گرفتم و ذکر گفتم»
💠خداوند فرمود:
«نماز ، جواز عبور از پل صراط است.
روزه، سپر آتش
و ذکر، موجب بالا رفتن درجات بهشت است.
همه اینها برای خودت بود!»
💠حضرت موسی علیه السلام عرض کرد:
«خداوندا! عملی به من بیاموز که فقط برای تو باشد.»
💠خطاب آمد:
✅«ستمدیده ای را یاری کرده ای؟
✅برهنه ای را پوشانده ای؟
✅تشنه ای را سیراب کرده ای؟
✅احترام عالمی را حفظ کرده ای؟
🌿اینها اعمال خالص است!»
