*The Warith Magazine Launch*
*The Holy City of Karbala, 15th Safar, 1440* - _*The Department of Islamic Studies and Research of The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain [s] jointly with The Batool [s] Foundation*, are humbled and honoured to launch *The Warith Magazine* in the English language. Like it’s Arabic language counterpart it has set out to educate and inform people about the universal personality that is *Imam Hussain [s]* and the *Immaculate Household of The Holy Prophet [s]*. The inaugural issue is dedicated to *The Master of The Age [atf].*_
_Muhammad Yasin Devji, Director-General,_ *The Batool [s] Foundation:*
_‘The term *‘al-Warth’* that is used to refer to *Imam Hussain [s]* means that he is *the inheritor* of all the *Prophets* and as such manifested within this holy personality are the messages of all those that came before him. It also means that *Imam Hussain [s]* represents virtues that are universal and transcend all religious, ethnic and racial boundaries. In fact such is *Imam Hussain’s* universality that he even transcends time itself. It is our hope to be able to tap into this universality and present the many facets of *Imam Hussain [s]* and his message to not only his followers and lovers, but to all of humanity.’_

Allamah Tabatabai's manner was one that confirmed completely to the Qur'an. Perhaps it can be said that his behavior had become the Qur'an. Every verse that God has placed in the Qur'an describing a perfect human being (Insane Kamil), we found it in Allamah's behavior the extent that it is possible to be seen in an individual. His gatherings were those of perfect Islamic etiquette and Godly character. It was rare for him to commit even an action which, without being a sin, was not the best course of action to take (Tarke Aula). He never mentioned someone's name with iff-feeling, nor anyone's bad characteristics, and tried to always pray for the well-being of others.

How many words does the Arabic language have?
Any concrete answer to this is actually false! Arabic is much more flexible to have its vocabulary counted by the number of words.
There are “accurate” answers though about how many are there in different Ma`ajim (plural of Mu`jam, a collection of words organized and categorized by the alphabetic order) An “oh-so-specific-and-logical” answer that is more of an assumption to me is that Arabic has: between 100,000 (if you are so stingy), just a few millions (if you disregard all words not currently in usage), 12 million (one restrict rule) 90 million words and 500 million words!
All of these numbers are the results of linguistic queries conducted in the past. And the number varies depending on what do you count as a word.
So, why did I say we can never know? It’s because Arabic has a three-/four-/five-lettered root in the simplest past form, it has a meaning in itself like for example:
كَـتَـبَ KaTaBa (a=shwa, short vowel)
This verb means “wrote”, no indication of female, duality, plurality, direction of action or emphasize yet… This word can now generate at least 30 other meaningful words!
Just put that small root into DOZENS OF word scales/patterns to attach each root to a certain scale/pattern which in itself implies a specific kind of word).
What on Earth does that even mean?
Let’s take KaTaBa and implement it into a dozen of different scales:
×You can create several verbs simply meaning to write, but in different tenses and doers: كَتبتَ، كَتَبَتْ، كتبتي، كتبتم، كتبتما، كتبتن، يكتبون تكتبن
But literally, that’s not even half of the possible words (they’re all distinct from one another, and accurate to the letter! So if use one of them, it won’t be confused with another. There’s no redundancy of different versions of one verb, each variation serves a certain purpose, it can reflect a different gender, being singular or plural, being in the past, present, future or more, etc. )
× A dozen of nouns and adjectives:
1- doer = [KaTeB] = كاتب = writer (Scale: فاعِل - Fa3el)
2- object = [maKToB] = مكتوب = written/message (Scale: مَفعول - maF3ool)
3- different object = [KeTaab] = كِتاب = book (Scale: فِعال - Fe3aal)
4- another object = [maKTaBah] = مكتبة = library (Scale: maF3aLah)
Additionally: كُتاب، مَكتَب، إكّتِتاب، مُكاتبة، كُتَيّب ….. It DOESN’T stop any time soon, all kinds of words related to writing you can imagine can somehow all be expressed using a three-sound/three-letter -root, put in so many shapes and forms!
So, there is no correct answer, as a lot of words can be put in any scale and give a lot of grammatically correct words, while each word can be never or rarely used locally… It would still be a valid and comprehensible word.
Example: كَتُوب [KaTooB] - this word would mean someone who writes a lot, I don’t remember reading it before, but I doubt anyone who knows proper Arabic would find it difficult to understand what it means.
The other problem is when people count from معاجم [Ma`ajim], it’s not like that collection of all words in a language… Arabic got super changed, yet remained untouched, meaning the the Standard Arabic is still almost the same, yet the different local Arabic dialects Also were born, having simpler vocabulary yet more modern and has more borrowed and Arabized words!
The correct answer: You can barely count how many scales are there, then you’ll have to count how many roots are there, the multiplication of the two will give you only the maximum possible words from known roots, it’s 100% not accurate, because not all of them are used (although they all have meanings and can be used!)
And also a lot of words don’t count (for being too similar to another word) or get counted twice in two close case (because the word for the two boys lived is different from the word for a group of women or a gendered human name/adj. or an animal, etc.!

A letter from a Christian to Muslim women
By Joanna Francis
Writer, Journalist - USA

Between the Israeli assault on Lebanon and the Zionist "war on terror," the Muslim world is now center stage in every American home. I see the carnage, death and destruction that have befallen Lebanon, but I also see something else: I see you. I can't help but notice that almost every woman I see is carrying a baby or has children around her.
I see that though they are dressed modestly, their beauty still shines
through. But it's not just outer beauty that I notice. I also notice that I feel something strange inside me: I feel envy. I feel terrible for the horrible experiences and war crimes that the Lebanese people have suffered, being targeted by our common enemy. But I can't help but admire your strength, your beauty, your modesty, and most of all, your happiness.
Yes, it's strange, but it occurred to me that even under constant bombardment, you still seemed happier than we are, because you were still living the natural lives of women. The way women have always lived since the beginning of time. It used to be that way in the West until the 1960s, when we were bombarded by the same enemy.
Only we were not bombarded with actual munitions, but with subtle trickery and moral corruption.
Through Temptation
They bombarded us Americans from Hollywood, instead of from fighter
jets or with our own American-made tanks. They would like to bomb you
in this way too, after they've finished bombing the infrastructure of your countries. I do not want this to happen to you. You will feel degraded, just like we do. You can avoid this kind of bombing if you will kindly listen to those of us who have already suffered serious
casualties from their evil influence.
Because everything you see
coming out of Hollywood is a pack of lies, a distortion of reality, smoke and mirrors. They present casual sex as harmless recreation because they aim to destroy the moral fabric of the societies into which they beam their poisonous programming. I beg you not to drink their poison. There is no antidote for it once you have consumed it.
You may recover partially, but you will never be the same. Better to avoid the poison altogether than to try to heal from the damage it causes.
They will try to tempt you with their titillating movies and music videos, falsely portraying us American women as happy and satisfied, proud of dressing like prostitutes, and content without families.
Most of us are not happy, trust me. Millions of us are on anti-depressant
medication, hate our jobs, and cry at night over the men who told us they loved us, then greedily used us and walked away.
They would like to destroy your families and convince you to have fewer children. They do this by presenting marriage as a form of slavery, motherhood as a curse, and being modest and pure as old-fashioned. They want you to cheapen yourself and lose your faith. They are like the Serpent tempting Eve with the apple. Don't bite.
Self-Value
I see you as precious gems, pure gold, or the "pearl of great value" spoken of in the Bible (Matthew 13: 45). All women are pearls of great value, but some of us have been deceived into doubting the value of our purity.
Jesus said: "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you" (Matthew 7: 6).
Our pearls are priceless, but they convince us that they're cheap. But trust me; there is no substitute for being able to look in the mirror and seeing purity, innocence and self-respect staring back at you.

The fashions coming out of the Western sewer are designed to make you believe that your most valuable asset is your sexuality. But your beautiful dresses and veils are actually sexier than any Western fashion, because they cloak you in mystery and show self-respect and confidence.
A woman's sexuality should be guarded from unworthy eyes, since it should be your gift to the man who loves and respects you enough to marry you. And since your men are still manly warriors, they deserve no less than your best.
Our men don't even want purity anymore. They don't recognize the pearl of great value, opting for the flashy rhinestone instead. Only to leave her too! Your most valuable assets are your inner beauty, your innocence, and everything that makes you who you are.
But I notice that some Muslim women push the limit and try to be as Western as possible, even while wearing a veil
(with some of their hair showing). Why imitate women who already regret, or will soon regret, their lost virtue? There is no compensation for that loss.
You are flawless diamonds. Don't let them trick you into becoming rhinestones. Because everything you see in the fashion magazines and on Western television is a lie. It is Satan's trap. It is fool's gold.
A Woman's Heart
I'll let you in on a little secret, just in case you're curious: pre-marital sex is not even that great. We gave our bodies to the men we were in love with, believing that that was the way to make them love us and want to marry us, just as we had seen on television growing up. But without the security of marriage and the sure knowledge that he will always stay with us, it's not even enjoyable! That's the irony.
It was just a waste. It leaves you in tears. Speaking as one woman to another, I believe that you understand that already. Because only a woman can truly understand what's in another woman's heart. We really are all alike. Our race, religion or nationalities do not matter. A woman's heart is the same everywhere.
We love. That's what we do best. We nurture our families and give comfort and strength to the men we love. But we American women have been fooled into believing that we are happiest having careers, our own homes in which to live alone, and freedom to give our love away to whomever we choose.
That is not freedom. And that is not love. Only in the safe haven of marriage can a woman's body and heart be safe to love. Don't settle for anything less. It's not worth it. You won't even like it and you'll like yourself even less afterwards. Then he'll leave you.

💠 “In the first days of the war, I told to Ibrahim, ‘Brother Hadi, your salary is ready. Come and get it whenever you think the time is right.’ In response he asked in a low voice, ‘When do you go to
Tehran?!’
I said, ‘On the weekend.’
Then he said, ‘I will write down three addresses. When you go to Tehran give my wage to those three families!’ And I did this.
Later I found out that all three families were poor but respectable families.”

Learning how to interpret EKGs was a struggle for me. I remember coming home to a stack of EKGs my father (an interventional cardiologist) had left for me to interpret. I had no idea where to start. I was lost. All I saw were squiggly lines.
I started reading all the introductory books (Dubin’s, Thaler’s, etc.) and any resource I could get my hands on. None of the resources really did it nor did they provide much clinical relevance. I found myself reading textbooks (Chou’s, Marriott’s, etc.) and the medical literature to close the gaps. Ultimately, this was a very inefficient process.
I decided to develop a curriculum for my fellow medical students. I created videos. For some reason, students asked for more. People from around the world asked for more. Eventually there were hundreds of videos. The EKG Guy community was created. And thanks to you, it has now grown to over 750,000 followers in less than 18 months to become the largest, fastest growing ECG community in the world! I soon realized that maybe I was not the only one that struggled to learn EKGs, or at least wanted a better option.
With all that said, it is clear that medical professionals want better ECG learning options and hopefully I’ve provided that. And, maybe I wasn’t the only one struggling after all. I truly hope no one ever struggles learning ECGs again.
I want to thank you for your ongoing support. It means a lot. Thank YOU for helping us transform ECG education to deliver better patient care!

Overview:
The EKG Guy’s Ultimate EKG Breakdown is designed for individuals with little to no knowledge of the electrocardiogram (EKG, ECG), as well as for more advanced interpreters. This 25+ hour comprehensive course includes over 150 short lectures that cover the most important ECG topics. It is perfect for students, residents, nurses, fellows, paramedics, and other medical professionals where ECG literacy is useful.
The basic concepts and fundamentals will provide a strong ECG foundation as you progress in your career. By the time you complete this lecture series, you will have as much knowledge as most entry-level resident physicians (and cardiology fellows!).
Course Breakdown:
Part I: The Basics
In part I of the course, we look at the basics of the electrocardiogram (ECG, EKG). We discuss the cardiac anatomy and circulation, electrical conduction system of the heart, electrodes and vectors, various aspects of the normal cardiac cycle, along with important concepts to be aware of when interpreting a 12-lead EKG.
Part II: Rhythms
In part II of the course, we look at various rhythms. This portion of the book is broken down into sinus, atrial, atrioventricular, and ventricular rhythms. These topics also include the pathophysiology, mechanism, ECG features, and clinical significance of each rhythm.
Part III: Chamber Enlargement
In part III of the course, we discuss various types of atrial and ventricular enlargement. These topics also include the pathophysiology, mechanism, diagnostic ECG features, and clinical significance of each.
Part IV: Conduction Defects
In part IV of the course, we look at various conduction defects – including, different atrioventricular and intraventricular conduction blocks. These topics also include the pathophysiology, mechanism, ECG features, and clinical significance of each.
Part V: Myocardial Ischemia & Infarction
In part V of the course, we look at myocardial ischemia and infarction. This section includes a basic overview of myocardial ischemia, why ECG findings come about in the setting of ischemia, what changes are considered significant, coronary vascular anatomy, how to localize different coronary artery occlusions and clinical significance, various conduction defects that can come about in setting of myocardial infarction, among other ECG findings in certain ischemic conditions.
Part VI: Drugs & Electrolytes
