💠A Small Promise
Hojjatol Islam wal Muslimeen Jawad Ajayee (husband of the Beheshti family's daughter) narrates:
"In the year 1956, we were with Hajj Agha Beheshti in Mashad.. at a family event with our family. Shahid Bahonar entered my home in Mashad, and asked if Shahid Beheshti was home. I said yes. When Shahid Bahonar saw Shahid Beheshti, he said 'some friends asked if you were in Mashad, so I came to take you to our gathering'.
Hajj Agha Beheshti replied, 'is 8 pm tomorrow night good?' I said: 'what are you doing now (which makes you unavailable)? He said, 'I have promised my wife and kids to take them to the park'. When he heard this, Shahid Bahonar became angry and in result his face turned red. He then said, 'we have gathered to sit with you, and you decide to take your family to the park?' Aghaye Beheshti said, 'it is as I said'. Shahid Bahonar then said, 'let Aghaye Ajayee (me) take the family instead'. Aghaye Beheshti replied, 'I have promised that I take them to the park'.
The next day at the gathering, Shahid Bahonar and Ayatollah Mahdawi Kani told Aghaye Beheshti that 'the brothers had gathered to meet you when they were released from prison, and you took your family to the park?' Aghaye Beheshti stated: 'friends, isn't it true that we want to initiate a revolution? (Hence) in this revolution we are promising to people (a proper system of governance). If we are unable to fulfill the (small) promises that we give to our wives and kids, how will we then fulfill (large and weighty) promises of this revolution? I believe that this is a special principle of the revolution, that if we promise even our toddlers, we must not neglect its conditions and or ignore it. However, when we do promise we must think if it is doable or not'".

Moral Characteristics of the Prophets: A Qur'anic Perspective

There are a number of ways to understand the best qualities of human beings in Islam. One way is to study how God has described the Prophets in the Qur'an, since they are the people who are chosen by God as His messengers and are the best ones to be chosen by human beings as their guide and role models. For this purpose, this paper tries to present a Qur'anic account of the characteristics of each of the Prophets mentioned in the Qur'an. This paper also shows that moral characteristics occupy a central, if not, the central, position in God's praise of their qualities and this illustrates the significance of morality in Islam.
Characteristics of Prophet Muhammad
1.Submissive to God
So if they argue with you, say, 'I have submitted my will to God, and [so has] he who follow me.' And say to those who were given the Book and the uninstructed ones, 'Do you submit?' If they submit, they will certainly be guided, but if they turn away, then your duty is only to communicate; and God sees best the servants. (3:20)
He has no partner, and this [creed] I have been commanded [to follow],and I am the first of those who submit [to God].' (6:163)
2.Gentle to the people
It is by God's mercy that you are gentle to them; and had you been harsh and hardhearted, surely they would have scattered from around you. So excuse them, and plead for forgiveness for them, and consult them in the affairs, and once you are resolved, put your trust in God. Indeed God loves those who trust in Him. (3:159)
3.Deep concern for the people
There has certainly come to you an apostle from among yourselves. Grievous to him is your distress; he has deep concern for you, and is most kind and merciful to the faithful. (9:128)
4.Most kind and merciful to the faithful
There has certainly come to you an apostle from among yourselves. Grievous to him is your distress; he has deep concern for you, and is
most kind and merciful to the faithful. (9:128)
5.Who has faith in God and His words
Say, 'O mankind! I am the Apostle of God to you all, [of Him] to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. There is no god except Him. He gives life and brings death.' So have faith in God and His Apostle, the uninstructed prophet who has faith in God and His words, and follow him so that you may be guided.
(7:158)
See also 10:104 and 39:14.
6.God-fearing
When Our manifest signs are recited to them, those who do not expect to encounter Us say, 'Bring a Qur'an other than this, or alter it.' Say, 'I may not alter it of my own accord. I follow only what is revealed to me. Indeed should I disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a tremendous day. (10:15)
Say, 'Indeed, should I disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a tremendous day.' (39:13)
7.Pure in his worship
Say, 'O people! if you are in doubt about my religion, then [know that] I do not worship those whom you worship besides God. Rather I worship only God, who causes you to die, and I have been commanded to be among the faithful, (10:104)
Say, '[Only] God do I worship, putting my exclusive faith in Him. (39:14)

3.Taught the Book and wisdom by God
And He will teach him the Book and wisdom, the Torah and the Evangel, (3:48)
When God will say, O Jesus son of Mary, remember My blessing upon you and upon your mother, when I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit, so you would speak to the people in the cradle and in adulthood, and when I taught you the Book and wisdom,
the Torah and the Evangel, and when you would create from clay the form of a bird, with My leave, and you would breathe into it and it would become a bird, with My leave; and you would heal the blind and the leper, with My leave, and you would raise the dead, with My leave; and when I held off [the evil of] the Children of Israel from you when you brought them manifest proofs, whereat the faithless among them said, 'This is nothing but
plain magic.' (5:110)

When the angels said, 'O Mary, God gives you the good news of a Word from Him whose name is Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, held in honour in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near [to God]. (3:45)
When God said, 'O Jesus, I shall take you[r soul], and I shall raise you up toward Myself, and I shall clear you of [the calumnies of] the faithless, and I shall set those who follow you above the faithless until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me will be your return, whereat I will judge between you concerning that about which you used to differ. (3:55)

He said, 'I am only a messenger of your Lord that I may give you a pure son.' (19:19)
6.Kind and considerate
and to be good to my mother, and He has not made me self-willed and wretched. (19:32)

Characteristics of the Prophet Moses
1.Penitent
When Moses arrived at Our tryst and his Lord spoke to him, he said, 'My Lord, show [Yourself] to me, that I may look at You!' He said, 'You shall not see Me. But look at the mountain: if it abides in its place, then you will see Me.' So when his Lord disclosed Himself to the mountain, He leveled it, and Moses fell down swooning. And when he recovered, he said, 'Immaculate are You!
I turn to You in penitence, and I am the first of the faithful.' (7:143)
2.Faithful
And when he recovered, he said, 'Immaculate are You! I turn to You in penitence, and I am the first of the faithful.' (7:143)
They are indeed among Our faithful servants. (37:122)
3.Purified
And mention in the Book Moses. Indeed he was purified [by God], and an apostle and a prophet. (19:51)
4.Given wisdom (and judgement)
So I fled from you, as I was afraid of you. Then my Lord gave me wisdom (judgment) and made me one of the apostles. (26:21)
5.Benefactor (muhsin)
Thus indeed do We reward the benefactor. (37:121)
6.Noble
Certainly We tried the people of Pharaoh before them, when a noble apostle came to them, (44:17)
7.Trustworthy
[saying,] 'Give over the servants of God to me; indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you. (44:18)

❇️What does it mean to say God is found in the Heart?
"How should the orients of the lights of Almighty God be contained in the heart? Yet when you seek His Light, you find it there. But this does not mean His Light is truly contained within it.
Rather, you find it in the heart, just as you find your own picture in a mirror, though your picture is not truly contained by it. But when you look in the mirror you see yourself".

TIPS FOR RAISING GREAT CHILDREN
🌱 1. Praise your child, even if they get less grades in an exam. And never insult them in person and in public.
🌱 2. Every time you speak with your children, speak with respect, say “thank you”, etc. Use ‘please' a lot and never swear.
🌱 3. Your child is just a child, don’t take away their playing time by treating them like adults. If you do this, they will suffer. From age one to seven child is like “King” or "Queen".
🌱 4. Assist your children in making decisions. Guide them by talking to them. If they want to go for something, then help them plan. Remember from age seven to fourteen you should teach them manners and good behavior.
🌱 5. After age of fifteen, ask your child for his opinion. For example, if you are going to buy a car, ask them what color he’d like the car to be. This develops the habit of consultancy in them.
🌱 6. Dedicate one or some book shelves in the house to your child. Make a place where they sit and read in peace. This will make them more confident of themselves, and live scholarly.
🌱 7. Take your child to mosque in (jama’āh) prayers. Your child will remember what he sees you doing forever. Start encouraging them to perform prayers from the age of seven.
🌱 8. Encourage your child to ask questions whenever, and try to answer their question too. Take them to the “Scholars” for their religious queries. Otherwise, they will get the answer from the wrong source, which ruins their belief and faith in God and infallibles.
🌱 9. Always fulfil your promises to your children. Do not make wrong promises which you cannot fulfill. Otherwise this makes them develop a habit of making false promises. If you fail to fulfill any promise, explain nicely.
🌱 10. Make doa (supplication) for your children. Even if they have gone astray, pray for them. Doa of a father is always helpful to the children.
🌱 11. Tell them they might fail once or few times, but never lose hope and try your best. Then leave the result on God. This is the meaning of “Tawakkul”. Teach them how they should react to a failure.
🌱 12. Apologize to your child if you have made a mistake, this teaches your child to behave good and repent to Allah. Don’t raise ifs and buts when you are wrong.
🌱 13. Praise their good deeds. Give them gift and explain to them that this gift is for the good deeds that you did. Always give gifts to daughters first then boys.
🌱 14. Read Qur’ān daily and make sure you offer your children to read a portion of Quran’s translation daily and according to their capacity. Even if it's just a few verses.
🌱 15. Tell your child repeatedly that you love them, tell them how gorgeous they are and how important they are to you, hug them as its a tradition of prophet Mohammad (peace be with him and his progeny) to kiss your children. When you kiss them God will increase a grade of your level.
🌱 16. Behave with children equally and don’t prefer one over another. However, when giving gifts, girls should be prioritized.

*This is what Amir al-mu'minin said on the occasion of the burial of Sayyidatu'n-nisā' (Supreme lady) Fatimah (peace be with her) while addressing the Prophet at his grave.*
🔶🔷🔶🔷🔶🔷🔶🔷🔶🔷🔶🔷🔶
O' Prophet of God, please accept my salams and those of your daughter who is being buried not far from you, and who is to meet you so quickly. O last chosen Apostle! The death of your daughter has left me without patience and solace. I have lost my self-restraint and power of endurance.
After having endured the separation from you I shall have to bear this catastrophe patiently. O Prophet of God! I laid you down in the grave with my own hands, your soul departed from my body while you were resting upon my chest and your head was lying between my neck and heart.
Verily we are for Allah's and verily unto Him shall we return (Qur'an 2:156)
Your trust (your daughter) which was entrusted to me is taken back from me. Sorrow now abides with me and happiness has taken leave. This grief is so overbearing that it engulfs and swallows other sorrows, and it has left me with sleepless nights and joyless days. From now onwards, my life will be a continued heartache until God gathers me with you both in the realm of His favour and peace.
O Apostle of God! Your dear daughter will tell you how your followers have behaved with her and how they have mistreated her. Please ask her the details of all that has happened to her during such a short period (barely three months) after your departure to Heaven. This period of separation from you was so short that people were still remembering you and talking about you.
Please, both of you accept my parting salams and goodbye. It is the wish of a sincere heart, which has loved and will always love you both, a heart which will cherish and will carry your tender and loving memeories to its grave. Goodbye O daughter of the chosen Apostle of God! May you rest in peace (in the world) which mankind has refused you in this world. If I leave your grave to go it is not because I am tired of your company, rather I wish I had it till the end of my life. If I make a permanent abode on your grave, it will not be because I doubt the reward that God has reserved for those who bear sorrows patiently, Goodbye, may God's peace and blessings be with you both.

A letter from a Christian to Muslim women
By Joanna Francis
Writer, Journalist - USA
http://www.thinkatheist.com/m/blogpost?id=1982180%3ABlogPost%3A1534215
Between the Israeli assault on Lebanon and the Zionist "war on terror," the Muslim world is now center stage in every American home. I see the carnage, death and destruction that have befallen Lebanon, but I also see something else: I see you. I can't help but notice that almost every woman I see is carrying a baby or has children around her.
I see that though they are dressed modestly, their beauty still shines
through. But it's not just outer beauty that I notice. I also notice that I feel something strange inside me: I feel envy. I feel terrible for the horrible experiences and war crimes that the Lebanese people have suffered, being targeted by our common enemy. But I can't help but admire your strength, your beauty, your modesty, and most of all, your happiness.
Yes, it's strange, but it occurred to me that even under constant bombardment, you still seemed happier than we are, because you were still living the natural lives of women. The way women have always lived since the beginning of time. It used to be that way in the West until the 1960s, when we were bombarded by the same enemy.
Only we were not bombarded with actual munitions, but with subtle trickery and moral corruption.
Through Temptation
They bombarded us Americans from Hollywood, instead of from fighter
jets or with our own American-made tanks. They would like to bomb you
in this way too, after they've finished bombing the infrastructure of your countries. I do not want this to happen to you. You will feel degraded, just like we do. You can avoid this kind of bombing if you will kindly listen to those of us who have already suffered serious
casualties from their evil influence.
Because everything you see
coming out of Hollywood is a pack of lies, a distortion of reality, smoke and mirrors. They present casual sex as harmless recreation because they aim to destroy the moral fabric of the societies into which they beam their poisonous programming. I beg you not to drink their poison. There is no antidote for it once you have consumed it.
You may recover partially, but you will never be the same. Better to avoid the poison altogether than to try to heal from the damage it causes.
They will try to tempt you with their titillating movies and music videos, falsely portraying us American women as happy and satisfied, proud of dressing like prostitutes, and content without families.
Most of us are not happy, trust me. Millions of us are on anti-depressant
medication, hate our jobs, and cry at night over the men who told us they loved us, then greedily used us and walked away.
They would like to destroy your families and convince you to have fewer children. They do this by presenting marriage as a form of slavery, motherhood as a curse, and being modest and pure as old-fashioned. They want you to cheapen yourself and lose your faith. They are like the Serpent tempting Eve with the apple. Don't bite.
Self-Value
I see you as precious gems, pure gold, or the "pearl of great value" spoken of in the Bible (Matthew 13: 45). All women are pearls of great value, but some of us have been deceived into doubting the value of our purity.
Jesus said: "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you" (Matthew 7: 6).
Our pearls are priceless, but they convince us that they're cheap. But trust me; there is no substitute for being able to look in the mirror and seeing purity, innocence and self-respect staring back at you.

Spiritual connection of Shias with Ali:
"Rameelah was a Shia of Ali. He says:
'While in Kufa, I suffered from fever and shivering for some days. I was unable to attend prayer behind Amirul Momineen.
It was Friday. I found some relief and experienced that my fever had reduced. I thought how nice if I take Friday bath and go to the mosque to pray behind Ali. So I came to the Mosque of Kufa.
Ali began to give the sermon from the pulpit. My fever returned and I began to tremble again, but I controlled myself. After the completion of the sermon and concluding the prayer, Ali sent someone for me.
I went to him, and He asked
me, 'Rameelah! What had happened to you when I was on the pulpit? You looked very restless and uncomfortable!'
I replied, 'I am suffering from fever for quite some time. I felt somewhat better today and hence I came to the mosque to attend your sermon when again I was disturbed by fever and shivering'.
The summary of Imam Ali's reply is this, 'This fever and shivering of yours has also entered me'.
I asked, 'Is it so with those who are in the Mosque or it is so with those outside too?'
Amirul Momineen said, 'Throughout the world, be it in east or west whenever one of our Shias becomes restless,
we too experience that restlessness'".

📚"Moral Values of Quran" by Ayatollah Dastaghaib, pg. 314.
Hojjatol Islam Fateminiya: “I request you to not be quick in responding”.
“I am your brother whose beard has turned white, and I highly ask you to never be quick in answering, responding. Many are very hasty when it comes to responding. I tell the youth it’ll never be late to respond later (first think, process the situation, then answer), so hold yourself a bit.
Did you get the point? Sometimes, quick responses deprive one (from reaching higher levels of tawfiq and erfan). Practice patience and respond a little later.
Sometimes, we attack an individual’s enthusiasm. They come and say with zeal: ‘this cloth that I bought has no likes of it in the world’!
Let the person talk, have his joy, and feel comfortable. Instead, we quickly respond: ‘heck no! These fabrics are everywhere (cheap quality)’!
(The point is here) attacking the enthusiasm of someone, not letting one express their passion are all against the values of Shiism”.

🔹🍃🔹 Visit your kin and safeguard your tongues and do not look at what Allah has decreed as prohibitive for you to look at, and do not listen to anything your ears are forbidden from hearing. Be kind to the orphans of others, so that your own orphans will equally receive kindness.
🔹🍃🔹 Repent your sins to Almighty Allah and raise your hands to Him in supplication during the times of your prayers, for they are the best times during which Almighty Allah looks with mercy to His servants and answers their pleas when they plead Him......
