Spiritual connection of Shias with Ali:
"Rameelah was a Shia of Ali. He says:
'While in Kufa, I suffered from fever and shivering for some days. I was unable to attend prayer behind Amirul Momineen.
It was Friday. I found some relief and experienced that my fever had reduced. I thought how nice if I take Friday bath and go to the mosque to pray behind Ali. So I came to the Mosque of Kufa.
Ali began to give the sermon from the pulpit. My fever returned and I began to tremble again, but I controlled myself. After the completion of the sermon and concluding the prayer, Ali sent someone for me.
I went to him, and He asked
me, 'Rameelah! What had happened to you when I was on the pulpit? You looked very restless and uncomfortable!'
I replied, 'I am suffering from fever for quite some time. I felt somewhat better today and hence I came to the mosque to attend your sermon when again I was disturbed by fever and shivering'.
The summary of Imam Ali's reply is this, 'This fever and shivering of yours has also entered me'.
I asked, 'Is it so with those who are in the Mosque or it is so with those outside too?'
Amirul Momineen said, 'Throughout the world, be it in east or west whenever one of our Shias becomes restless,
we too experience that restlessness'".

A former Hindu embraces Islam
The following is an edited story of a convert.
“By God’s grace I am blessed with religion of God.My name is Mohammed Umar Rao and I am from India. I embraced Islam at the age of 18. I shared my story with two persons. All praise and thanks be to God, they were convinced that my decision and choice is best, they started reading Qur’an and also embraced Islam”.
Muhammad Umar Rao, a former Hindu, who hated Muslims and held opposing views against the religion and its followers. He started reading the Quran to find discrepancies in the Book of God but ended up embracing Islam.
“I come from a middle class orthodox Brahmin family; my parents worked in private firms. My mother was a teacher and my father a textile engineer. My religious education was at my maternal uncle’s place, that is how I became orthodox and my whole family education was always against Muslims, which was [deeply embedded in my conscience].
I was associated with RSS for few years; I always hated Muslims to the extent that in all public functions I wanted to give high volume for music sound boxes to ensure that the Adhaan (Call to Prayer) not be heard at all. I used to go round the town visiting all temples to complete my worship everyday. I was appreciated in family for being orthodox.

A question from grand Āyatollāh Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlullah and his answer.
Question: How do you understand (man; the human being) through the Islamic methodology?
Answer: Since the day I set out on life, I have learned love from Allah, the Messenger of Allah (p.) and the Imams (a.s.). I have seen that Allah, the Most High, the Most Exalted, has bestowed His mercy upon all people, and mercy represents a state of love. In this sense, I love the human being, wholly, yet I detest any act of deviation, crime, unbelief and oppression he might commit, as it is narrated: "Allah may love a man but hate his action, and may love the action but hate the man."*
Actually, I have learned that from the Messenger of Allah (p.), having read his biography and realized that his heart was always open to all people, as he used to say: "O Lord guide my people, they do not know (the true path)."** I also acquired that from Imam Ali (a.s.) who used to say: "Rip evil away from the heart of others by uprooting it from your own heart (first)."***
At a time I feel hurt for the path those people have followed, knowing that I do not claim to be deprived of feelings and emotions, for just as Allah has mentioned, even the Messenger of Allah (p.) used to feel sad and distressed from what others used to plot against him, so He told him (p.): "And grieve not for them and be not distressed because of what they plan," (27:70)… despite that, I always try to study the points of weakness that drove them to do so… I used to examine thoroughly the state of backwardness, ignorance and egocentrism they revolved around and were afflicted with; thus, I used to feel sorry for them from themselves more than I felt sorry for myself from them.
My slogan in life is to love even those who are at odds with me so as to guide them and to love those who are in agreement with me so as to found a state of cooperation with them. Actually, I love those whom I am in agreement with to cooperate with them on the basis of righteousness and piety, and I love those whom I am in disagreement with in order to cooperate and engage in a dialogue with them for the sake of setting them straight.
Life cannot bear any form of grudge… grudge embodies death; whereas love embodies life, and I want to live and not die.****

Salam,
I’m working on attitudes scale analysis and my question is how can i interpret my scale’s mean score?? Do I have to compare my mean score on the scale with values reported in the pervious literature?!
I’m looking for some articles have specified the range of mean scores (e.g. low scores is between range 1.0-2.4 meduim between range 2.5-3.4 and high is between range 3.5-5.0).so I’d be appreciated if anyone can assist me with having the references for this range of mean score, if there’s any?!!
