The #Anoushirvan, the king of #Iran asked: The rulers before you dominated the people more than you, but the people could not complain them with courage!
But in your rule, people courageously and comfortably say their opinions and complain about your government!
Why?!
Answered:
The mastery and the rule and the command,
do not eliminate pain and grief and problems.
But people are comforting to comment on my rule, I hope and be happy!
In your opinion, why can no government solve problems?!!

If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed.
On May 17, 2014, Admiral William H. McRaven addressed the graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin on their Commencement day. Taking inspiration from the university's slogan, "What starts here changes the world," he shared the ten principles he learned during Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training and long Naval career, but also throughout his life; and he explained how anyone can use these basic lessons to change themselves-and the world-for the better.
Admiral McRaven's original speech went viral with over 10 million views. Building on the core tenets laid out in his speech, McRaven now recounts tales from his own life and from those of people he encountered during his military service who dealt with hardship and made tough decisions with determination, compassion, honor, and courage. Told with great humility and optimism, this timeless book provides simple wisdom, practical advice, and words of encouragement that will inspire readers to achieve more, even in life's darkest moments.

Your breaths in it (the month of Rama1an)
are glorification (of God) and your sleep in it is worship.4
4. When you are invited to a party, you naturally expect to meet the host and consider his absence as a humiliation. Accordingly, when Allah (SWT) invites His servant to His banquet, by nature, He is ready to show Himself to His guests and meet them.
"This is the month in which you have been invited to the banquet
of Allah.." This part of the sermon inspires the fact that this blessing has been dedicated to the month of Ramadan. The Holy Prophet of Islam added:
In the sight of Allah, this month is the
best month, its days are the best days,
its nights are the best nights and its hours
are the best hours.5
Although this month's prominence over others involves that its days, nights and hours are the best as well, by mentioning these three phrases independently, the Prophet emphasized that every portion of this month is better than its counterpart in every other month.
Recommendations for the month of Ramadan
The sermon continues by several instructions:
Oh people! The gates of heaven are
open in this month. So ask your Lord
not to close them.6
The phrase, ‘the gates of heaven being open’ has at least two meanings:
(1) The chance of the one to deserve entering heaven is more in this blessed month than the other months.
(2) Due to the openness of heaven’s gates, all kinds of divine mercy in heaven are ready to encompass the servants in tis world, angels are permitted to come to their presence and the breeze of heaven blow into this world. These make the sleep and breaths of the faithful in the month of Ramadan like the inhabitants of heaven glorification of God and worship.
Although the gates of heaven are open, the Holy Prophet warns people that if they do not appreciate such a great opportunity,
subsequently Allah (SWT) will close them. The situation of the
gates of fire is quite the contrary:
And the gates of the fire are closed. So ask your Lord not to open them.7
Along these lines, the condition of satans is described as follows:
And satans are in chains. So ask your Lord not to dominate them over you.8
Although Satan and his assistants are chained up in this month,
committing sins results in releasing them. Therefore, while the
month of Ramadan is the best month in itself, for a group of
people, this month is worse than the other months just as the Holy
Qur'an is "a cure and mercy for the faithful; and it increases the
wrongdoers only in loss" (17:82).
The fourth Holy Imam, Imam Sajjad, (A) in his farewell
supplication for the holy month of Ramadan declares:
Oh month of Ramadan! Peace be upon
you! How long you were for
wrongdoers and how awesome you
were in the hearts of the faithful!
(Al-Sahifah Al-Sajjādiyyah, supplication no. 45)
As implied by this supplication and as proved by the experience,
the month of Ramadan, for those who do not fast deliberately and
without any religious excuse, seems like a whole year and every
moment of it is a kind of torture for them. On the contrary, those
who do their best to appreciate this month find it passing quickly
and are concerned about losing a second without taking the full
benefit of it.
Another instruction offered by the Holy Prophet in his
Sh‘baniyyah sermon is:
When you feel hungry and thirsty in
this month remember the hunger and
thirst of the Day of Judgment.9
Tolerating thirst and hunger in this world is so difficult. We must
then ponder upon the fact that the thirst and hunger in the
hereafter last for years and years or for some groups of people
forever. Additionally, in this world, death may be regarded as a
solution for intolerable thirst and hunger, but in the next world,
eternal life turns this solution into a useless one. In this regard,
Chapter 43 Verse 77 reads:
They will call out," O Mālik! [the name
of the guardian of the hell] Let your
Lord finish us off!" He will say,"
Indeed you will stay on.
Letter of Imam Ali to Malik e Ashtar
(Part One)
Written for Malik-e Ashtar Nakha'i, when the status of Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr had become precarious and Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (peace be with him) had appointed Malik-e Ashtar as the governor of Egypt and the surrounding areas. This document contains the worlds highest and greatest number of eminent and outstanding statements:
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
💠This is what God's servant Ali ibn Abi Talib has ordered Malik ibn al-Harith al-Ashtar in his instrument (of appointment) for him when he made him Governor of Egypt for the collection of its revenues, fighting its enemies, seeking the good of its people and making its cities prosperous.💠
💠He has ordered him to fear Allah, to prefer obedience to Him and to follow what He has commanded in His Book (Holy Quran) out of His obligatory and elective commands, without following which one cannot achieve virtue, nor (can one) be evil save by opposing them and ignoring them and to support the cause of Allah the Glorified One, with his heart, hand and tongue because Allah Whose name is Sublime takes the responsibility for helping him who helps Him and for protecting him who gives Him support.💠
💠He also orders him to break his heart off from passions and to restrain it at the time of their increase because the heart leads towards evil unless Allah has mercy. 💠
Qualifications of a Governor and his Responsibilities:
💠Then, know O Malik, that I have sent you to an area where there have been governments before you, both just as well as oppressive.💠
💠People would now watch your dealings as you used to watch the dealings of the rulers before you and they (people) would criticize you as you criticized them (rulers).💠
Surely, the virtuous are known by the reputation that Allah circulates for them through the tongues of His creatures. Therefore, the best collection with you should be the collection of good deeds.💠
💠So, control your passions and check your heart from doing what is not lawful for you because checking the heart means detaining it just half way between what it likes and dislikes.💠
💠Habituate your heart to mercy for the subjects and to affection and kindness for them. Do not stand over them like greedy beasts who feel it is enough to devour them since they (people) are of two kinds: either your brethren in religion or your likes in creation.💠
💠They would commit slips and encounter mistakes. They may act wrongly, willfully or out of negligence. So, extend to them your forgiveness and pardon them in the same way as you would like Allah to extend His forgiveness and to pardon you because you are over them and your responsible Commander (Imam) is over you, while Allah is over the one who appointed you. 💠
He (Allah) has sought you to manage their affairs and tried you through them.💠
💠Do not set yourself to fight Allah because you have no power to meet His power and you cannot do without His pardon and mercy. Do not regret forgiving or being merciful in punishing. Do not act hastily during your anger if you can find a way out of it. Do not say: “I have been given authority, I enjoy it when I order,” because it engenders confusion in the heart, weakens the religion and takes one to his ruin.💠
💠If the authority in which you are placed produces pride or vanity in you, look at the greatness of the realm of Allah over you and His might the like of which you do not even possess over yourselves. This will curb your haughtiness, cure you of your high temper and bring back to you your wisdom which had gone away from you.💠
💠Beware of comparing yourself to Allah in His greatness or likening yourself to Him in His power, for Allah humiliates every claimant of power and disgraces everyone who is haughty.💠

Letter of Imam Ali to Malik e Ashtar
(Part Three)
Ruling should be in favor of the people as a whole.
💠The way most coveted by you should be that which is the most equitable for what is right, the most universal by way of justice and the
💠most comprehensive with regard to the agreement with those under you because the disagreement among the common people sweeps away the arguments of the chiefs and can be disregarded when compared with the agreement of the common people.💠
💠No one among those under you is more burdensome to the ruler in the comfort of life, less helpful in distress, more disliking of equitable treatment, more tricky in asking favors, less thankful at the time of giving, less appreciative of reasons at the time of refusal and weaker in endurance at the time of the discomforts of life than the chiefs.💠
💠It is the common people of the community who are the pillars of the religion, the power of the Muslims and the defense against the enemies. Your learning should, therefore, be towards them and your inclination with them.💠
💠The one among the people under you who is furthest from you and the worst of them in your view should be whoever is the most
💠inquisitive of the shortcomings of the people because people do have shortcomings and the ruler is the most appropriate person to cover them.💠
💠Do not disclose whatever of it is hidden from you because your obligation is to correct what is manifest to you, while Allah will deal with whatever is hidden from you.💠
💠Therefore, cover shortcomings as far as you can; Allah will cover those of your shortcomings which you will like to remain under cover from your subjects. Unfasten every knot of hatred in the people and cut away from yourself the cause of every enmity.💠
💠Feign ignorance from what is not clear to you. Do not hasten to second a backbiter because a backbiter is a cheat although he looks like those who wish well.💠
💠💠@AbodeofWisdom💠💠
Letter of Imam Ali to Malik-e Ashtar
(Part five)
🔰Then, more preferable among them for you should be those who openly speak better truths before you and who support you the least in those of your actions which Allah does not approve in His friends, even though they may be according to your wishes.
🔰Associate yourself with God-fearing and truthful people; then educate them, so that they should not praise you or please you by reason of an action which you did not perform because an excess of praise produces pride and drives you nearer to haughtiness.
🔰The virtuous and the vicious should not be in equal status before you because this means dissuasion of the virtuous from virtue and persuasion of the vicious to vice.
🔰Keep everyone in the status which is his. You should know that the most conducive thing for the good impression of the ruler on his subjects is that he should extend good behavior towards them, lighten their hardships and avoid putting them to unbearable troubles.
🔰You should, therefore, in this way follow a course by which you would leave a good impression with your subjects. This is so because such good ideas would relieve you of great worries.
🔰Certainly, the most appropriate for your good impression is he to whom your behavior has not been good.
🔰Do not discontinue the good lives in which the earlier people of this community had been acting and by virtue of which there was general unity and through which the subjects prospered.
🔰Do not innovate any line of action which injures these earlier ways because (in that case) the reward for those who had established those ways would continue, but the burden for discontinuing them would be on you.
🔰🔰Keep on increasing your conversations with the scholars and discussions with the wise in order to stabilize the prosperity of the areas under you and to continue with that in which the earlier people had remained steadfast.

Letter of Imam Ali to Malik-e Ashtar
(Part Seven)
The ruler cannot acquit himself of the obligations laid on him by Allah in this matter except by striving and seeking help from Allah, by training himself to adhere to righteousness and by enduring on that account all that is light or hard.
1. The Army
🍁Put in command of your forces the man who in your view is the best well-wisher of Allah, His Prophet and your Imam. The most chaste of them in heart and the highest of them in endurance is one who is slow in getting angry, who accepts excuses, who is kind to the weak and is strict with the strong; violence should not raise his temper and weakness should not keep him sitting.
🍁Also associate with considerate people from high families, virtuous houses and decent traditions, then people of courage, valor, generosity and benevolence because they are repositories of honor and springs of virtues. Strive for their matters as the parents strive for their child.
🍁Do not regard anything that you do to strengthen them as big nor anything that you have agreed to do for them as little, even though it may be small because this would make them your well-wishers and create a good impression about you.
🍁Do not neglect to attend to their small matters. Confine yourself to their important matters because your small favors will also be of benefit to them while the important ones are such that they cannot ignore.
🍁That commander of the army should have such a status before you that he renders help to them equitably and spends from his money on them and on those of their families who remain behind so that all their worries converge on the one worry to fight the enemy.
@AbodeofWisdom
Letter of Imam Ali to Malik-e Ashtar
(Part Ten)
3. Executive Officers
🔰🔰Look into the affairs of your executives. Give them appointment after testing them and do not appoint them according to partiality or favoritism because these two things make up the sources of injustice and unfairness.
🔰🔰Select from among them those who are people of experience and modesty, hailing from virtuous houses, having been previously in Islam because such persons possess high manners and untarnished honor.
🔰🔰They are the least inclined towards greed and always have their eyes on the ends of matters.
🔰🔰Give them an abundant livelihood (by way of salary) because this gives them the strength to maintain themselves in order and not to have an eye upon the funds in their custody and it will be an argument against them if they disobeyed your orders or misappropriated your trust.
🔰🔰You should also check their activities and assign people to report on them who should be truthful and faithful because your watching their actions secretly would urge them to preserve trust with and to be kind to the people.
🔰🔰Be careful of assistants. If any one of them extends his hands towards misappropriation and the reports of your reporters reaching you confirm it, that should be regarded assufficient testimony.
🔰🔰You should then inflict corporal punishment on him and recover what he has misappropriated. You should put him in a place of disgrace, blacklist him with (the charge of) misappropriation and make him wear the necklace of shame for his offence.

(Part Twelve)
5. The Clerical Establishment
🍁🍁Then you should take care of your secretarial workers. Put the best of them in charge of your affairs. Entrust those of your writings which contain your policies and secrets to him who possesses the best character, who is not elated by honors lest he should dare speak against you in public. He should also not be negligent in presenting the communications of your officers before you and issuing correct replies to them on your behalf and in matters of your receipts and payments.
🍁🍁He should not make any damaging agreement on your behalf and should not fail in repudiating an agreement against you.
🍁🍁He should not be ignorant of the extent of his own status in matters because whoever is ignorant of his own status is (even) more ignorant of the status of others.
🍁🍁Your selection of these people should not be on the basis of your understanding (of them), confidence and good impression because people catch the ideas of the officers through affectation and personal service, and there is nothing in it which is like well-wishing or trustfulness.
🍁🍁You should rather test them by what they did under the virtuous people before you. Take a decision in favor of one who has a good name among the common people and is the most renowned in trustworthiness because this will be a proof of your regard for Allah and for him on whose behalf you have been appointed to this status (namely your Imam).
🍁🍁Establish one chief for every department of work. He should not be incapable of big matters and a rush of work should not perplex him. Whenever there is a defect in your secretaries which you overlook, then you will be held responsible for it.

Holding fast by Allah’s covenant
This is what we inspire from Allah’s saying: “And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves”, where each party attaches its rope to the rope of the others, through the unity of the rope [Allah stretches out], which signifies Islam in a Hadith and the Quran in another. Whatever it may be, it is undoubtedly the line that attaches all people to Allah: “and remember with gratitude Allah's favor on you; for ye were enemies” before you embraced Islam and before the Messenger of Allah brought you together over belief in Allah to open up to all the spiritual values and practical piety.
This Ayah was revealed about Aws and Khazraj, the two main tribes that constituted the community of Al-Ansar (the Supporters) in Medina, when some Jews tried to make them return to the history of fanaticism, so as to stir their sensitivities and drive them to engage in a conflict and perhaps even fighting: “and He joined your hearts in love” (03:103), and what is meant by hearts in the Quran is the minds, and perhaps even one’s innermost, including one’s emotions, feelings and reactions. Once the hearts are joined in love, they open up to each other and maintain unity in terms of the line followed and results achieved.
Allah has consecrated this unity between the believers through His kindness and mercy, as expressed in the Ayah: “Had you spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allah united them” (08:63). Allah also says in another Ayah: “Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. You are not a watcher over them” (88:21-22), for you do not own people’s hearts, rather you own the means that could open the hearts and make people come together. Money cannot bring two hearts, two minds, and two directions together; rather, it solves a certain problem, and satisfies one’s greed. It is Allah Who unites them, for He owns people’s hearts and He is the Changer of the hearts.

TIPS FOR RAISING GREAT CHILDREN
🌱 1. Praise your child, even if they get less grades in an exam. And never insult them in person and in public.
🌱 2. Every time you speak with your children, speak with respect, say “thank you”, etc. Use ‘please' a lot and never swear.
🌱 3. Your child is just a child, don’t take away their playing time by treating them like adults. If you do this, they will suffer. From age one to seven child is like “King” or "Queen".
🌱 4. Assist your children in making decisions. Guide them by talking to them. If they want to go for something, then help them plan. Remember from age seven to fourteen you should teach them manners and good behavior.
🌱 5. After age of fifteen, ask your child for his opinion. For example, if you are going to buy a car, ask them what color he’d like the car to be. This develops the habit of consultancy in them.
🌱 6. Dedicate one or some book shelves in the house to your child. Make a place where they sit and read in peace. This will make them more confident of themselves, and live scholarly.
🌱 7. Take your child to mosque in (jama’āh) prayers. Your child will remember what he sees you doing forever. Start encouraging them to perform prayers from the age of seven.
🌱 8. Encourage your child to ask questions whenever, and try to answer their question too. Take them to the “Scholars” for their religious queries. Otherwise, they will get the answer from the wrong source, which ruins their belief and faith in God and infallibles.
🌱 9. Always fulfil your promises to your children. Do not make wrong promises which you cannot fulfill. Otherwise this makes them develop a habit of making false promises. If you fail to fulfill any promise, explain nicely.
🌱 10. Make doa (supplication) for your children. Even if they have gone astray, pray for them. Doa of a father is always helpful to the children.
🌱 11. Tell them they might fail once or few times, but never lose hope and try your best. Then leave the result on God. This is the meaning of “Tawakkul”. Teach them how they should react to a failure.
🌱 12. Apologize to your child if you have made a mistake, this teaches your child to behave good and repent to Allah. Don’t raise ifs and buts when you are wrong.
🌱 13. Praise their good deeds. Give them gift and explain to them that this gift is for the good deeds that you did. Always give gifts to daughters first then boys.
🌱 14. Read Qur’ān daily and make sure you offer your children to read a portion of Quran’s translation daily and according to their capacity. Even if it's just a few verses.
🌱 15. Tell your child repeatedly that you love them, tell them how gorgeous they are and how important they are to you, hug them as its a tradition of prophet Mohammad (peace be with him and his progeny) to kiss your children. When you kiss them God will increase a grade of your level.
🌱 16. Behave with children equally and don’t prefer one over another. However, when giving gifts, girls should be prioritized.

In memory of Ayatollah Sayyed Mahmoud Taleghani
One of the villagers said: "I heard from my father that one day, one of the famous clerics of the region asked Ayatollah Taleghani why he doesn't enjoin people to good and forbid them from evil?"
He replied: "what do you suggest I do?"
The cleric said: "you (seriously) don't put in any effort to gather the people to the mosque? If you don't like to do that, (then) lecture the people (by commanding them to good and forbidding them from evil), (or) at least invite them to congregational prayers".
Ayatollah Taleghani replied to that famous cleric: "enjoin (yourself) to action, it isn't about lecturing (only). 🌳"Do not imagine that your soul is in your head or in your heart. It is not like this. It is neither within the body nor out of it. The encirclement of soul is indeed amazing. Put your hand at any part of your body, the soul is there. It is both positive and negative. It is not in the body. It also is not
out of it.
🌳This is one of the finest (most delicate) things. Have you not experienced that sometimes if a thread or a strand of hair enters your mouth along with food it is at once detected and you push it out. Such signs pertaining to your body are there to make you realize that God encircles
and covers each and every thing and affair.
🌻“Allah is He Who created seven heavens, and of the earth the like of them; the decree continues to descend among them, that you may know that Allah has power over all things and that Allah indeed encompasses all things in (His) knowledge.” (65:12)
🌳The specimen or example is your own soul. O Man! If a snake bites at your foot, your soul knows of it at once. If a thin hair enters the body… If you ponder over the power of remembrance or learning by heart, it is unfathomable. How many things are stored in your brain!"
