🔻 امیرمعزّی معتقد است که اگر ما این سنت غنی بایبلی را در قرآن بپذیریم، و اگر انبوه هشدارهای بنیادین آخرالزمانیِ داخل قرآن را هم به عنوان یکی از ارکان پیام محمد قبول کنیم، در نتیجه باید بپذیریم که آنچه پیام محمد خوانده می‌شود، در واقع بشارت ظهور مجدد مسیح است. ادعایی که در برخی از منابع مسیحی هم‌عصر پیامبر هم تایید شده است.

🔻 آن‌ها هم تأیید کرده‌اند که پیامبری در میان اعراب آمده که بشارت به ظهور مسیح می‌دهد. اما چهره مسیح همچنان در این پیام پرابهام است. مسیحی که در قرآن کم و بیش ناپیدا است اما بخش بزرگی از محتوای مجامع حدیثی، به ویژه احادیث قدیمی‌تر، در مورد و در توضیح ظهور مسیح و آخرالزمان است. احادیثی که به ما می‌گوید که منجی این پیام عیسی مسیح است. اینجاست که نقش علی در پیام محمد نمایان می‌شود.

🔻 با توجه به این فهم از قرآن، و پیامِ محمد، و برخی از احادیث قدیم می‌توان چنین استنباط کرد که این علی است که در پیامِ محمد از او به عنوان مسیحِ جدیدِ خداوند نام برده شده است. خود علی هم در احادیثی در توصیف خود می‌گوید که من مسیح هستم یا من مسیحِ ثانی یا مسیح دوران خود هستم. علی در این احادیث به صراحت خود را مسیح و هم‌ذات با عیسی بن مریم می‌داند که آمده تا بگوید که آخرالزمان نزدیک است.

🔻 پیچیدگی مسئله زمانی بیشتر می‌شود که برخلاف این پیام آخرالزمانی و بشارت به ظهور مسیح جدید، آخرالزمان رخ نمی‌دهد. در عرصه سیاسی و اجتماعی هم قبایل عرب با سرعتی باورنکردنی تبدیل به فرمانروایان خاورمیانه‌ی امروز می‌شوند.

🔻 و طبعاً امپراتوری‌ قدرتمند اموی باور به نزدیک بودن آخرالزمان را نمی‌پذیرد و به همین دلایل است که در اواخر سده‌ی یکم هجری، و به طور دقیق‌تر در زمان خلافت عبدالملک ابن مروان، پنجمین خلیفه‌ی بنی امیه، تاریخ زندگی محمد، مفاهیم بنیادی پیام محمد، و حتی مصحف قرآن مورد بازبینی قرار می‌گیرند و با توجه به الزامات دوران جدید بازنویسی می‌شوند.

🔻 در این دوره است که پیام آخرالزمانی محمد تبدیل به دین سازمان‌یافته‌ای به نام اسلام می‌شود و تفکیک آشکار میان اسلام با مسیحیّت و یهودیّت برقرار می‌شود؛ و در همین دوران است که قرآنِ رسمی تدوین می‌شود. فرآیند عربی‌سازی و اسلامی‌سازیِ پیامِ محمد به شکلی است که می‌توان عبدالملک ابن مروان را بنیان‌گذار دینی به نام اسلام با پیروانی به نام مسلمانان، در برابر پیام محمد و مؤمنان پیرو آن دانست. فرهنگ، تاریخ، معارف، و علوم اسلامی کم و بیش از این زمان به بعد است که آغاز می‌شوند و در طول زمان تحول می‌یابند.

An enormous amount of political science scholarship has dissected the ideology, organization, and political strategy of Sunni Islamist movements. However these academic communities that study Sunni Islamism often proceed without any interaction with the academic communities that study Iran or Shi’a politics in Arab countries.
on October 13, 2017, POMEPS convened an interdisciplinary workshop of scholars of Shi’a politics to discuss these questions and to probe the similarities and differences between the two academic communities. They published this collection of essays resulting from that workshop.
